MAY THE WEBCAM BE WITH YOU!

The Witch and the Loch Ness webcamsMany of you reading my website for the first time won't be aware that in the 21st Century Witches are hi-tech, while still believing in the Forces of Nature and, to many 'mumbo jumbo' belief systems. People often ask me whether my spells are hundreds of years old, well the simple answer is a big NO!

I wouldn't have been asked by a top bod at NASA to create a talisman to be carried aboard the space shuttle, or to correct an error on the old analogue Astra 1C satellite so that Virgin Radio weren't broadcasting the Discovery Channel in audio over their Kent transmitter, fed by satellite, instead of what should have been music. Neither would I have been asked to 'ghostbust' onboard the Ross Revenge, home of the floating pirate station Radio Caroline, still broadcasting to this day, although legally and on satellite now.

So when Mikko, a mild-mannered (but not a reporter for the Daily Planet) Clarke Kent character who is also an Internet top-bod, of Finnish descent but now living in the Highlands of Scotland, asked me to perform a spell for the on going success of his two highly acclaimed cameras that broadcast pictures 'live' worldwide during daylight hours. Before my visits to Scotland I had no idea that these existed and I had certainly never heard of 'Nessie on the Net'.

Wearing my robe, complete with Pagan holy water, I set about the ceremony as an accompanying Grampian TV filmcrew looked on.

' O mighty Elements of Nature I do summon thee here to this place to strengthen and protect this ritual that I now do. May my spirit of I, Carleonis, watch over this sacred site of technology and may all the work put into this site be one day rewarded with a firm and positive sighting of the fabled Nessie. May Mikko and his assistants be joyous in the thought that the creature, whether spirit or solid, will be visual but will always be protected from rape and plunder by my sacred spell cast on the Loch on Tuesday April 24th 2001. May no other webcam record this before Nessie on the Net and from this day on may it be known to the world that I now proclaim this the official Nessie site and the persons and equipment be protected from all forms of harm. SO MAY IT BE DONE.'

(I hear rumours that odds are being placed on rival web cams, run by different people. I won't bet as I have 'insider information')
