Our local tourism promotes our towns of Hastings and St Leonards as 1066 Country because of the Battle of Hastings in that year and make the places seem nice. On an average day in the towns the sounds of emergency sirens fill the sea air almost non stop, drowning out the sea gulls and if you happen to know someone with a radio that can listen in, the crimes are almost the same.

These towns have seen murders, including a Priest and a school girl, arson attacks, muggings, police shooting dead an unarmed man, rape, pillage and more and the British national press dubbing the place 'The Murder Capital of Britain'!

But Why? You won't read it in the brochures but Aleistair Crowley and Alex Sanders, both practising their own brand of magic, ended up living and dying in the towns. Cap that with a Leyline of immense power flowing through the towns, taking in the number one suicide spot, Beachy Head, near Eastbourne then its not suprising that so much negativity takes place here.
